In partnership with the FSM Office of Historic Preservation, the Library has developed a new program that aims to educate young Micronesians about their culture and history, help pass on traditional stories and knowledge to the next generation, instill a sense of pride in the children of Pohnpei for their islands and traditional culture, and motivate further study of the rich history of the region. Each Friday afternoon session will feature magical tales and exciting legends from Pohnpei's mythical past, told by Pohnpei Historic staff, crafts, and other activities.
