PICS High School Carpentry Class Builds Benches for Pohnpei Public Library

On September 26, 2024, students from PICS High School’s Carpentry class put their skills to the test by creating beautiful, handcrafted benches for the Pohnpei Public Library. This collaborative project not only showcased the students’ hard work and dedication but also underscored the importance of community involvement and support.

We are incredibly thankful for the talented students who poured their creativity and effort into these benches. Their craftsmanship will provide a welcoming space for library patrons to sit, read, and enjoy the resources the library has to offer. This addition is more than just furniture; it represents a commitment to fostering a love for learning and community engagement.

The partnership between PICS High School and the Pohnpei Public Library is strengthened through initiatives like this. By working together, we’re building a brighter future for our students and the community they serve.
