Rolling in the New
There’s something special happening at the Pohnpei Public Library — and it comes with a fresh swing of the front gate.
Thanks to the efforts of the Koa Moana 25, our once-pesky, hard-to-shut front gate has been upgraded to a smooth-swinging entryway. This improvement not only makes entering the library more welcoming for our visitors, but it also adds a practical layer of convenience and security to the property.
But the gate is just the beginning.
The Koa Moana Team has also begun repairing the small hut near the playground, an important space that serves both functional and recreational purposes for families and children visiting the library grounds. Their work ensures that this structure remains safe, sturdy, and accessible for years to come.
In addition, the team has taken on critical repairs to the fencing surrounding the property, reinforcing and restoring various sections to strengthen the overall security of the library. These enhancements are essential in maintaining a safe environment for the community, especially our young readers and families who frequent the area.
The Board of the Friends of the Pohnpei Public Library extends its heartfelt thanks to Koa Moana 25 for their dedication, skill, and care in supporting the library and the wider community. Their efforts reflect a spirit of service and partnership that truly makes a difference.
As these improvements continue, we invite the public to stop by and see the positive changes taking shape — and to join us in celebrating those who help keep our beloved library a safe, welcoming place for all.
