Bringing Knowledge to the Road: Our Community Bookmobile

The bookmobile, generously provided through the FSM National Archives, Culture and Historic Preservation Office with support from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, has become a vital part of expanding library outreach across the island. Fully upgraded and thoughtfully designed, the vehicle now features installed bookshelves, a growing collection of books, and a welcoming interior that invites readers of all ages. Its vibrant exterior and carefully arranged space reflect a shared vision of bringing knowledge directly to communities.

Adding to its significance, the paintings that adorn the bookmobile were generously donated by members of the Mormon community, contributing both beauty and cultural expression to the space. Together, these contributions transform the bookmobile into more than just a mobile library—it stands as a powerful symbol of unity, creativity, and a collective commitment to education, literacy, and the preservation of knowledge for future generations.

Board Leaders and Latter-Day Saints

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the FSM National Archives, Culture and Historical Preservation Office, and the Institute of Museum and Library Services for their generous support in providing the bookmobile. A special thank you also goes to the Mormon community for the beautiful artwork that adorns the vehicle. Your contributions have made this project a true symbol of learning, culture, and community connection, and we are excited to see it serve our island for years to come.
