Cluster 3 wrapped up their week with impressive PowerPoint presentations highlighting the historical sites they visited. These fast learners quickly mastered PowerPoint, creating their own slides and confidently presenting them to their parents as the grand finale of their Summer Reading Program.
Through their presentations, the children shared what they learned about the importance of knowing and preserving culture. One group emphasized that understanding our roots and safeguarding our historical sites is essential to knowing who we are. Their words and creativity reminded us that heritage is not just about the past, it is the foundation of our identity and the guide for our future.
One of the most inspiring parts of the day was seeing how the children expressed pride in their culture while demonstrating new skills in technology and teamwork. Their ability to connect tradition with modern learning showed the true spirit of this year’s theme, “Unearth a Story.”
As the program concluded, parents, volunteers, and staff celebrated the children’s achievements with joy and admiration. The week not only strengthened their knowledge but also built confidence, friendships, and a deeper appreciation for cultural heritage.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) for their generous funding, provided through the FSM National Archives, which made this Summer Reading Program possible. Your support ensured that our children had access to meaningful resources and experiences that deepened their understanding of culture and heritage.
We are proud of Cluster 3 for their dedication, creativity, and growth. Their presentations remind us that when we honor our roots, we strengthen our future. With this, we joyfully close another chapter of the Summer Reading Program 2026, looking forward to more stories, discoveries, and celebrations of culture moving forward
