LIBRARY MEMBERSHIPS
Patrons must possess a membership card in order to check out library materials. Getting your own library card is easy and cheap. Here's what you need to do:- Fill out the info card and your membership card available at the Circulation Desk. The Info Card is for filing for the PPL and the Membership card (the smaller one) is for you to keep to show proof of membership when needed.
- Pay your $1.00 fee to the librarian and you are set FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR!
BORROWING POLICIES
- Patrons must have their membership card in order to check out library materials.
- Books may be borrowed for 14 days (2 weeks).
- DVDs and VHS tapes may be borrowed for 4 days.
- The maximum number of items a patron may borrow at any one time is 5.
- Reference materials may not be checked out of the library.
- Magazines and other periodicals may not be check out of the library.
- Borrowed items may be renewed two times.
- A late fine of 5 cents per day is assessed for all overdue items.
- A $5.00-$10.00 fine will be charged for each lost or damaged item.
- If a book or any borrowed item is damaged: torn, missing page, drawn on, food particles or stains, the patron may also be charged a $5.00-$10.00 fine.
(Most of the books in the Library are recieved through people's kind donations, please return them safe and sound for others to also enjoy.)
LIBRARY RULES
- Noise, disturbances, or unseemly behavior--including abusive or threatening behavior toward the Library staff or other individuals--is prohibited.
- No food or drinks (other than bottled water) are permitted in the Library building.
- Smoking or chewing betel nut is not permitted in the Library building or anywhere on the Library grounds.
- Disruptive mobile phone use is prohibited. Mobile phones should be switched off or set to silent mode in the Library building. Talking on the phone or letting it ring or beep is prohibited.
- Sleeping is prohibited in the library.
- Using the phone for personal calls is not allowed. Calling cabs can be done by staff since the main phone in circulation is not functioning anymore.
