Merry Christmas & Happy New Year from the Friends of the Pohnpei Public Library
Dear Friends,
We would like to let our kind patrons know that we will be closing for the Holidays from December 24th 2025 to the 2nd of January 2026. The Friends of the Pohnpei Public Library would like to have their staff share in the Christmas festivities and usher in the the new year with family time. The Board of the Pohnpei Public Library would like to extend their utmost appreciation and gratitude to all the people of our community and beyond that have come through our gates to partake in our events throughout the year: the Library week, Summer Reading Program, Movie Nights, Story Hour, and more.
We have had the absolute pleasure of serving the people and the commuity by also being a space to learn for all our little ones. We would like to thank the little super heroes from My Child Speaks that had frequented us as well as all the little ones hailing from Madolehnihmw to U. We praise the staff and parents that have taken the time to introduce us to their children; teaching them about what we provide and how we help the people.
Celebrating this Christmas will not be the same for most of us. This year has been one of the most challenging years where we have all faced loss and grief. We offer our hearts to all the friends and families gathering to remember those who will be celebrating from above. May their laughter and warmth hold us together and through these holidays as we spend them with little ones that still carry their smile.
