Today, more than 30 eighth-grade students from Nett Elementary School visited the Friends of the Pohnpei Public Library today January 9th , 2026 for an educational and inspiring experience. During their visit, the students learned about library culture, the importance of reading, and how the public library serves as a resource for learning, research, and community engagement. The visit gave students an opportunity to explore the library space, ask questions, and better understand how libraries support lifelong learning.
The Friends of the Pohnpei Public Library would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the teachers, school staff, and the Talent Search Program for making this visit possible. We also thank them for their continued support in encouraging students to value education and literacy. On behalf of the Board of the Friends of the Pohnpei Public Library, we truly appreciate everyone involved for making today’s visit a success.
