The Pohnpei Public Library is having an Art and Essay contest during the month of April 2013. Prizes will be awarded to the best art and essay/writing entry in each grade. This is our 25th anniversary and the theme is “Reading: The Lighthouse to the World”.
The purpose of this is to solicit gift certificate donations to be used as prizes for the contest winners. There will be 36 grand prizes for the contest winners. We are soliciting for any kind of prize that you can donate in a gift certificate. Examples; a restaurant may want to give a certificate for a dinner for one or two persons; a video store may want to give a certificate for two or three free movies, and so on.
If you have given prizes of gift certificates in the past to the Pohnpei Public Library, we thank you for your continuing participation in this endeavor. The children appreciate the library and those opportunities to display their art and writing.
